 It was the duty of the executive to protect the Constitutional protections that guaranteed to the citizens of the country however the governments in every states including Delhi regularly failed to protect the rights that assured by the constitution. The government is responsible implement laws and welfare schemes that protecting the rights of citizens, as guaranteed by the constitution and other statutes. However, there have been instances where government failed to uphold these responsibilities, leading to a rise in atrocities against marginalized groups including Dalits and backward communities. Despite legal protections, they prolong to be subjected to various forms of ill-treatment, including physical attacks, social ostracization, and denial of basic rights including right to life.

Delhi election a test dose against upcoming elections in India.

The election commission announced assembly election in Delhi State 2025 in 70 constituencies. The current ruling party expected to lose most of the seats because of their policy towards underprivileged and marginalized.

There is deeply entrenched caste-based discrimination that persists in Indian society. Despite legal reforms, social attitudes and prejudices continue to accelerate violence against Dalits. Additionally, law enforcement agencies are often accused of being biased against Dalits, failing to investigate crimes against them properly and sometimes even colluding with perpetrators. The government’s failure to address this issue effectively has led to a sense of impunity among those who perpetrate violence against Dalits. This has further emboldened them, leading to a rise in such atrocities. Addressing this issue requires a multi-pronged approach. It is crucial to strengthen law enforcement agencies and ensure that they are free from bias and act impartially in cases involving Dalits.

Only a concerted effort from all stakeholders, including the government, civil society, and individuals, can bring about meaningful change and ensure the safety and dignity of all citizens, regardless of their caste or social status.

They constituted sanadan Seva samiti recently for the protection of Sanadan darmma that also leads to controversy and that pointed out the casteist approach of AAP and BJP are one and the same. AAP and their soft Hindutva strategy, Aravind Kejriwal himself called as a stauch devotee of Lord Hanumam. And AAP has announced office bearers of in ewly formed sanatan seva samiti just before the Delhi Assembly election. AAP also announced 18000 (eighteen thousand) every month to priests of Gurudwara and temples if they come to power.

Kejriwal spoke at the event saying that “ God choose us to do something for the priest community. Sanatan Seva Samiti is a big step in this direction” they promised to introduce “Pujari and Granthi Samman Yojana” and promised as a revolutionary initiative by Aam Aadmi Party which will bring positive change in the lives of the servants of Sanatan Dharma. AAP hope that the scheme can give a big advantage to the party in the upcoming election. However the Sanatan concept itself shows its discriminatory nature. However the Kejriwal didn’t promise anything new to the under privileged. There is lack of access to information, education , health care, social or political power no money to purchase food efforts must be made to educate the public and raise awareness about caste-based discrimination and violence. Social reforms and affirmative action policies are also necessary to address the systemic inequalities that perpetuate the marginalization of Dalits.

Earlier youth for equality against affirmative action in 2006 supported the casteist people they become part of Aam Aadmi Party Later the formation of the said party. That movement started against reservation that was against the constitution of India that by the upper castes.

The existing policies that having no scheme to uplift the vulnerable sections to mainstream. The welfare schemes by delhi government that focusing the middleclass and their hindutva approach may adversely affect the result of the assembly election 2025.

The situation in Delhi is particularly concerning due to the city’s status as the capital of India.
