A Dalit Minor-girl- at Churu –in Rajastan-was gangraped -her hair forcibly cut off by accused-with casteist slur.
A terrible crime against a minor Dalit student at 8th standard that was in ‘Charu’ District in Rajasthan has upset the entire locality. According to the victim’s family’s complaint, on March 1, when she left home to purchase come things however she didn’t return back after long time and it was not normal. The family members started to search her and they realized that the girl was men kidnapped by four men. They found her in an unconscious condition in a hut nearby.
The victim’s grandfather told the police that his granddaughter was kidnapped and taken to Ratannagar Depalsar Road, where she was found unconscious in a hut and serious condition. The victim told her family that four boys, who had been following her to school for the past few days, had been threatening her that if she did not obey them, they would kill her and her family. They forcibly took her to a hut and committed the atrocity one after another.

Accused forcibly took the victim to a hut and gang-raped her brutally. They not only committed sexual atrocities against her but also cut off her hair and hurled casteist slurs to her. Victim’s family filed a complaint at the women’s police station, after which the police registered case against four accused. Investigation has been in charge of DSP Sunil Jhajharia. Medical examination of the victim has been conducted at the Government Bhartiya Hospital.
Police have started searching for the accused and have assured that they will be arrest immediately without delay. This incident has once again highlighted the issue of safety and justice for the Dalit community all over the State. There is outrage among the local people, and they are demanding strict punishment to all accused named Vickey rao,Yogesh Singh, Aditya meena and Vikas. .

According to the Indian government’s data, external on national crimes, Rajasthan recorded the largest number of crimes against Dalits in 2013.
A report by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) reveals a grim picture of crimes against women in India. In 2022, the country recorded 4,45,256 cases, which means 51 cases every hour.
Crimes against the Dalits are on the rise in Rajasthan which tops the country in terms of caste violence and discrimination against the Dalits.

The caste system has played a crucial role in Rajasthan social scenario. Dalits have experienced prejudice and oppression since many decades, and their access to jobs, healthcare, and education has been severely restricted yet. Caste-based discrimination continues to be widespread I Rajasthan despite constitutional protections and anti-discrimination laws in force.
The state government began a programme in 2020 named “Samajik Nyay evam Adhikarita Shivir” with the goal of giving Dalits and other marginalised communities to support and give legal assistance still didn’t fulfill its aim.
The state government has also put into place a number of policies and programmes to advance the welfare of Dalits, such as the Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for Dalit Students, the Chief Minister’s Higher Education Scholarship for Dalit Students, and the Rajasthan Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation, which offers financial support to Dalit business owners. However the socio economic condition still unchanged and crimes against Dalits increasing day by day.
